What Is BMR and TDEE?
BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is the amount of energy your body needs at complete rest to maintain basic vital functions — heart rate, breathing, and body temperature regulation. TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) adds your physical activity on top of that, answering the real question: how many calories do you actually burn each day?
